I’m Tammy Murphy, just an average gal from Niagara Falls, New York—except my love language is food. From a young age, I found joy in the kitchen, cooking and helping out wherever I could. That passion grew into a lifelong career, blending my love for entertaining, gourmet food, and creative design into a thriving business.

In 1993, I launched Talk of the Town, a catering and event company that quickly expanded into high-end corporate gourmet gifts. Before I knew it, I was juggling two successful businesses, delivering unforgettable experiences in both food and gifting. My expertise led to national recognition, and in 2000, I was honored as Designer of the Year—a moment that opened doors to speaking engagements, industry conventions, and collaborations with top-tier clients. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with politicians, celebrities, and corporate elites, always ensuring discretion, excellence, and a touch of glamour.

I love to host, and nothing brings me greater joy than seeing people come together over incredible food. Friends and clients often ask, how did you do that? My answer is always; it was easy! But I’ve come to realize that what feels effortless to me isn’t always second nature to others. That’s why I’m sharing my knowledge here at Joyfully Tammy and in my upcoming book, Joys of the Table—a guide to hosting with confidence, using seasonally inspired menus and creative themes.
